Experience

When we have trouble with our cars we turn to experts with experience with cars.

When we have trouble with our plumbing we turn to experts with experience with plumbing.

But when we have the troubles of living in difficult times like now, living the stress of financial insecurity, our health in danger, we don’t seem to know where to turn.

We don’t think to turn to those who have experience living like this every day of their lives. Because we forget they are there?  We don’t think them worthy because they don’t have a certification?

If there was ever a time to give attention to living on the margins, and not fetishize them by proclaiming their pitiable state, but be humble and listen so to give yourself a chance to find the people we value the least are often the most valuable people in our world.
